April 3, 1999
This week was spent entirely on the inside - framing interior walls, building the staircase, installing the fireplace (prefab, not full masonry) and beginning the electrical wiring.

April 10, 1999
The most visible change this week was the addition of the shingles (the best we could do to substitute for the costly green metal that we wanted) and the chimney which will get stone on the outside. Inside, most of the framing was finished and more wiring (electrical, phone & TV cable) was done as well as preparing the interior logs for staining by bleaching them out.

April 17, 1999
Not much visible progress this week. Some more wiring ran. I started finishing out the dormer over the living room with some left over tounge & groove pine.
April 24, 1999
The pad for the carport was poured this week. Most of the duct work and the air handler for the first floor heat pump was put up under the house and the 120V wiring was completed (still have all of the 220V to run). Did more finishing of some framed walls with tounge & groove pine.
