June 5, 1999

Most of the sheetrock was hung on Friday, except around the stairs which will have to be rebuilt. The sheetrock that was hung will be finished out over the next week.

June 12, 1999

The sheetrock was finished out this week. I started wiring up the outlets and a switches. Had the outside logs pressure washed and bleached out to kill any mildew on the logs. Settled on the cabinets and cabinet builder. The cabinets should be built and delivered in about 2-3 weeks. Since we are starting to see that light at the end of the tunnel, we firmed up our hopes by setting our goal to be in the house by August 1st (if not sooner).

June 19, 1999

Finished wiring the outlets and switches and started hanging lights and ceiling fans. Did some more staining on the ceiling. Did some major clean-up around the outside and finally got the borate treatment on the logs. That will keep any insects out - supposedly for the life of the house. Had the trench dug to put the power and cable underground. Hope to have power to the house by next week. The stone work on the fireplace was started

June 26, 1999

Power was turned on this week so I have real lights to work by at night now. Had a group from my Sunday School class come and help do some painting and staining. Hung the rest of the lighting that I could. More stone work completed
